Abstract

 

The problem of privacy has increased in its significance in the contemporary digital era, where enormous amounts of personal data have been collected and preserved, particularly within the field of medicine. The piece investigates the relevance, obstacles, and effects of privacy in the context of medical treatment, demonstrating its complicated nature. It investigates the technological, ethical, and legal complexities of privacy whereas considering the advantages and disadvantages between patient privacy and data expressing for public health and research. In addition, it appears through the way issues with confidentiality are brought about by contemporary innovations such as wearable devices, telemedicine, and electronic health records. The objective of this paper is to provide an in-depth comprehension of the important role of privacy in maintaining confidentiality, autonomy, and trust in the medical profession by means of an examination of several case studies and regulatory frameworks.
